What could Greece produce? A list of suggestions.
1. Design and produce a robotic system to automatically deploy mortar's. Design an add on for the numerous mortars that serve in the Greek army. Make it easy to use, more safe and more cost effective.Why should we need 3 - 4 persons to operate this thing? Couldn't we load it automatically or semi - automatic? I have read that a similar concept is present in Automated Direct Indirect-fire Mortar (ADIM). "The Automated Direct Indirect-fire Mortar (ADIM), which can be fired while mounted on a light tactical vehicle such as the HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) or its replacement."
2. Robotic system to launch a mortar from distance. Since you can deploy it remotely, why should you have personnel near it? Protect the soldiers by removing them from the area.
3. Furthermore, wouldn't it be nice to be able to activate it from distance? You should hide it in a small island/ islet and deploy it remotely. Be able to camouflage it or even dig it few centimeters under the ground. A mechanism will be able to deploy it in minutes upon request.
4. Drone similar to turkish Kargu/ Alpagu. The major difference will be the ability to store a series of missions. In static target mode the drones can not be jammed, since no interaction with the base station is needed. They will follow the stored route to their target (e.g. harbors, static targets).
5. Robot vehicle for special missions. Check the submissions on this contest to get an idea.
6. "Knight's Armament" or "Tackleberry" plan. A set of equipment that will be available for purchase by citizens but will be accessible only inside camps under supervision. This will include from advanced equipment (typically used by special forces) to military vehicles with armor and ability to integrate other weapons. The user will be able to watch them and "rent" them to the Greek army.
7. Anti-Drone Jammer System. Similar to IHASAVAR or the most advanced İHTAR.
8. Drone's for military vehicles. Without air support, how can a number of military vehicles operate autonomous? Shouldn't they be aware of the battlefield?
9. UAV. Higher payload and a stealthy design.
10. UCAV. We should develop smaller bombs like those that are in use by Bayraktar.
